Autumn Suncatchers

We collected autumn coloured leaves and put them inside a laminating pouch. We painted the rim of a paper plate and then we cut out the centre of the plate. Next we stuck the leaves into the middle and hung them up. They look really cool! Have you ever made an autumn leaf suncatcher? If you want to have a go, read the slide show.

Today in Ruma Piwakawaka we did a science experiment! We put M&M's on a plate in a circle and put water in the middle and it made a rainbow. We also did a flower experiment. We put a flower in a glass of water and put food colouring in the water and the flower stem sucked up the colour and turned the petals a different colour. Have you ever done these two experiments?
